Rob and Nancy, the hosts of MooseRock, tied the knot in 1985. Their wedding, held in Nancy's native Chestertown, New York was a great time. Nancy's aunt owned some cabins on a lake and all the guests got to share the campsite. The night before the wedding was a terrific party with volleyball, beer, great conversation, more beer and a few mixed drinks.

The night after the wedding we all gathered at the campsite again. This evening was a little more low key although beer was still involved. Later Rob and Nancy (who properly left on their honeymoon) admitted that they wished they could have hung around and joined us for yet another night of merriment.

In an effort to rekindle the spirit of that very special wedding party, Rob and Nancy invited many of the same group to their nuptual home along the Kankamangas Highway in New Hampshire the following summer.

The party, held the first weekend in August, 1986 was called Summer Splash. More summers meant more parties, and in 1988 Rob renamed the event MooseRock.
